Easy Christmas Cards with Jar of Joy | Quick Handmade Holiday Ideas
Looking for a quick and fun way to get started on your Christmas cards? In this post, I’m sharing a simple handmade design using the Jar of Joy stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I’ll also show you several alternate versions of this set in action — including ornaments, glitter, and even a purple snowman in a jar. These layouts are all easy to make and perfect if you need to create multiples of holiday cards without complicated steps.

Project Highlights
-
Main design: Snowman image from Jar of Joy, stamped on a simple die-cut square (you can also cut by hand if you don’t have dies).
-
Papers used: In Color 2025–2027 Designer Series Paper (Cloud Cover + Real Red combo for a classic holiday feel).
-
Quick tip: Cut your 6×6 paper into two 3″ × 4″ pieces for the best yield.
-
Finishing touches: Wink of Stella shimmer, Real Red & White Baker’s Twine, and Peppermint Gems.
Alternate versions:
- Snowman in a jar with a window sheet overlay (shown in video)
- Glittery ornaments layered for 3D dimension (shown in video)
- A pink Christmas card with Two-Tone Cardstock and Falling Snow background (shown in video)
These cards are simple enough for beginners but also give experienced stampers plenty of inspiration for stepped-up variations.
