Favourite Retiring Stamp Set: Love & Affection

The Love & Affection stamp set (pictured below) is one of the stamp sets on the Stampin’ Up! retiring list. Stamps sets are guaranteed to be available for purchase until May 22nd.

What I love about this stamp set is that you can stamp it in a solid colour like on the white card above or you can stamp it with a black and colour it in, like the card below. Notice on the white card too that there is a matching embossing folder.  This folder is part of a set called Floral Affection.  It is also retiring and is on sale too!

On this card, I stamped the floral images on Shimmery White cardstock with Basic Black ink and then coloured them in using inkpads and an aquapainter.  And the colours on the first card and the second card are NOT retiring.  They are part of the 2016-2018 ‘In Color’ collection that will stick around for another year. You can see a card with this stamp set and the current colours here.   To see the retiring colours from the 2015-2017  ‘In Color’ collection click here.  Please note that these retiring accessories are only available while supplies last and some of the items, like the ink refills, are already sold out.

This third card using the Love & Affection  stamp set is an example of a really quick card. It is the same layout at the 2nd card (love this easy card design), but the images are just stamped in colour for a card that goes together super easy.  And you could use any saying on this card.  The blue colour is the returning Dapper Denim colour paired with a Crumb Cake card base.

This lovely card in Flirty Flamingo (also a colour that is sticking around) and White was created by Mary Louise Hamill, a demonstrator in Milton Ontario.  Mary Louise, embossed the outline image with White embossing powder and coloured in the image from the back of the vellum. Gorgeous and striking!

This last card was created by a creative demonstrator in my group, Beckie Roy, from Hamilton, Ontario and her card is why I love the Love & Affection stamp set so much.  She has used many parts of the stamp set to create this beautiful collage.  In minutes you can get crafty with this stamp set!  See another set of mini note cards I made using all the parts of this stamp set here.
