If you’ve ever struggled to line up stamped images, this card is going to feel like a win.

Especially if you’ve ever stamped something slightly off and wished you could fix it.

In this project, I’m sharing how to create an easy floral card using two-step stamping with the Petals of Beauty Bundle and how to get beautifully layered results every time. A Simple Way to Make Two-Step Stamping Easier

Two-step stamping is a beautiful way to add depth and colour to your images, but it can sometimes feel tricky to line everything up just right.

For this card, I used the Petals of Beauty stamp set along with the new Stampin’ Up! Positioner (available May 2026) to make alignment easy and consistent. While you can absolutely stamp this by eye, using a positioner gives you that extra bit of confidence, especially if you want to stamp multiple images or re-stamp for better ink coverage.

Colour Combination for This Card

  • Lemon Lolly (base layer)
  • Darling Duckling (detail layer)
  • Secret Sea (contrast and sentiment)

The yellow tones create a warm, layered floral look, while the Secret Sea adds just enough depth to ground the design. I always love a blue and yellow colour combination on cards.

Tip: Try switching out the colours for a completely different look. This layout works beautifully with so many combinations.

✂️ Layering Details That Elevate the Card

This card is fairly simple, but a few small details really take it up a notch:

  • Die-cut layers using the Textured Notes Dies add subtle interest
  • Vellum layer softens the background and lets the colour show through
  • Ribbon and embellishments bring everything together
  • A touch of Wink of Stella adds just the right amount of shimmer

Stampin’ Up! Textured Notes Dies used for background and greeting label

The white background of the card was die-cut using the Textured Notes Dies. These dies are fantastic for adding a little bit of detail and interest. The greeting piece was also die cut using the same die set. There are lots of different sizes in this die set, so you can frame up many different sizes of images.

Why This is a Great Go-To Card Layout

This is one of those layouts you can come back to again and again.

It’s:

  • Easy to recreate
  • Perfect for batch cardmaking
  • Flexible with different colours and stamp sets
  • Clean and elegant for many occasions

simplified floral card version with larger border and greeting die cut

Here’s another version of this card with a slightly larger border and a slightly different look. It just shows how a small change can give you a completely different result.

In this sample, I removed the background die cut to simplify the project, but kept the die cut for the greeting.

A small change, but it still gives you a really nice finished card.
