Looking for a quick but luxurious Christmas card idea? ✨
This design uses the Winter Scenes stamp set (an Online Exclusive) with gold heat embossing to create a beautiful, elegant winter look — without complicated techniques. It’s also a perfect layout for batch-making holiday cards because you can stamp and emboss several pieces at once.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare Your Card Base

• Cut Cloud Cover cardstock to 5 ½” × 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”.

2. Add the Background Layer

• Cut a 4″ × 3″ piece of Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper.

• Adhere it to the bottom portion of the card front.

3. Emboss the Winter Scene

• Die cut an arch shape using the Everyday Arches Dies.

• Rub the piece with your Embossing Buddy.

• Stamp the cottage and trees from Winter Scenes using VersaMark Ink.

• Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder, tap off the excess, and heat until smooth and shiny.

(Pro Tip: Heat from a few inches away and stop once the powder melts — over-heating can dull the shine.)

4. Colour & Accent

• Use a Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blend marker to outline the arch lightly — this ties the focal point to the card base.

• Wrap Gold Striped Ribbon around the card front and tie a knot to the left side.

5. Assemble

• Pop the embossed arch onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Stamp “NOEL” (Joyful Tidings) in Cloud Cover Ink, die cut with a banner from Stylish Shapes Dies, and adhere near the bottom right.

• Add Gold Shaker Stars with a fine-tip glue pen for sparkle.
