If you’re new to stamping, two-step stamping is a technique where you layer two images together: first the outline, then a second stamp to fill in the colour. Because the stamps are photopolymer, it’s easy to see through and line them up. The best part? Even if you’re a little “off,” it still looks artsy and intentional. For busy crafters or beginners, this is a foolproof way to get that watercoloured look without ever picking up a brush.

This handmade card uses the You Are Remarkable stamp set  (from the May Online Exclusives) and the two-step stamping technique. The daisy outline is stamped in black, then filled with Strawberry Slush for the petals, Granny Apple Green for the leaves, and Pretty in Pink for the flower centre and background layers. A sweet stamped bee, dotted texture, and coordinating gems finish the look. The sentiment “Friends are flowers in the garden of life” makes this card perfect for encouragement, birthdays, or everyday notes.

I also tried a couple of alternate versions. One uses a Strawberry Slush card base instead of Pretty in Pink for a bolder look, while another adds a pop of Lemon Lolly for extra brightness. What I love most about this project is how quickly it comes together. With just a few ink pads, some coordinating cardstock, and the two-step stamping technique, you can create a stack of cards in no time.
