Valentine’s Treat Packaging with Stampin’ Up!

You can make your own treat packaging for Valentine’s Day.  On a recent Facebook Live video I showed three different kinds of packaging for some chocolate treats that you can make yourself.    The three kinds of packaging are:

  1. Pillow Box
  2. 2-4-6-8 box
  3. French Fry or Diaper Fold

The Pillow Box uses a specific box from Stampin’ Up! and the other two treat holders just use cardstock or Designer Series Paper.  You can see the complete supply list for these items below.   I’ve made the treat packaging and decorated it with a Valentine’s theme, but these would be great repurposed with an Easter theme, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even a cute Birthday treat holder.

For the pillow box, I used these items (see them all at the end of this post):

  • Bee Mine Designer Series Paper (for the belly band around the box)
  • Thoughtful Expressions Dies (for the White die cut)
  • Radiating Stitches Dies (for the heart die cut)
  • Celebrate with Tags Stamp Set
  • Sweet Sorbet Ribbon
  • Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers

The 2-4-6-8 box is one of my favourite little treat packaging ideas. It will hold some chocolates (as I demonstrator in the video) but it will also hold a little box of handcream, a cute bottle of hand sanitizer, some nail polish, or anything you can think of.  The box is created simply by scoring at a piece of 8 1/2″ cardstock at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″.  You can make the box any height to fit the gift inside.  And you could make the box smaller or larger by adjusting the amount of the scoring.  You could make a 1-2-3-4 box to hold something super slim.   You you could make more of a rectangular box (using a 10 1/2″ wide piece of cardstock) at 2-5-7-10.

These are the products that I used by to make the  2-4-6-8 box:

  • Pool Party cardstock
  • Bee My Valentine Stamp Set (for the hearts & the greeting)
  • Something Fancy Dies
  • Sweet Sorbet Ribbon
  • Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers

The last Valentine’s Treat Packaging is the easiest of the three.  It is called a French Fry fold as it kind of looks like a little container that could contain french fries.  It is also sometimes called a Diaper Fold as you are folding the two sides in like you might with a diaper.  Be sure to watch the video to see how you make this cute little packaging.  And I promise you will be making tons of cute little treat holder packages. You will love being able to use and see both sides of your Designer Series Paper!  These holders would be perfect on a table for guests to hold a little after dinner treat.

Here are the products I used on the French Fry/Diaper Fold Treat Packaging:

  • Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper
  • Something Fancy Dies
  • Love for You Stamp Set
  • Bubble Path Ribbon
  • Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers

One of the products that I used on each of the treat packaging, is the Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers:

How cute are these embellishments?  Love the hearts in all many colours (not just for Valentine’s Day) but especially love the cute & shiny little flowers.  They just add a element of charm to any paper craft project you make.
