Tea Cup Appreciation Card with Everyday Details
I originally got the Everyday Details Bundle for the die set. The dies include circles, rectangles, squares and some decorative edges. And of the shapes have little dots around the edges. I think they are a great way to elevate a small image like this tea cup. The shapes would also be nice in the background. Or you could use the shapes to make a cut out in the front of the card.
I stamped the tea cup with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured it in with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I love these markers for colouring my stamped images as they are so smooth (see more about Blends Markers here).
See how I coloured the image and created the card on my video here.
I love the contrast of the blue of the Pool Party colour and the bright fun pink of the Flirty Flamingo colour.
I picked the colours for this tea cup card from the colours in the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. This Designer Series paper has some lovely spring type colours. The twine and the embellishments on the card are all part of the Lighter Than Air Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! It’s great when all the products match as it makes it easy to add them to a project and know that it will look polished and put together. Look at all the wonderful colours in the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots package.
After I got the Everyday Details bundle (originally just as I wanted the dies), I realized that I LOVE the stamp set too.
First of all it has a tea cup. I love tea and know lots of tea lovers so I’ll be using this image for sure. The eggs in the nest are just so sweet and I’m thinking they would be perfect to make a card for someone who expecting. The flower bouquet image can be perfect for so many occasions. And I love the stamp with the little dots as they are useful for so many things. Watch my blog for an upcoming card that uses this dot stamp.
For the background of the card, I chose an embossing folder with dots on it to mimic the dots in the Designer Series Paper and the dots around the die cut circle. The dotted folder is part of a three pack set of folders called the Basics 3D Folders. This three pack of folders aren’t shown in any catalogue as they are part of Stampin Up!’s Online Exclusives collection You can see all of the supplies I used below.
