The Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder is one of those great designs that will go with lots of projects. And although, it is pictured with a floral stamp set, I think this design would be great on a more masculine looking card.
I made this pretty card on a recent Facebook Live video. You can find the video here. I do a live video project every Friday that you can find on either my Facebook Channel or my YouTube Channel. Check the videos out for tips for a new stamper and even some tricks for a seasoned card maker.
I love that this card is fairly simple to create by just repeating the flowers in different colour combinations. Here’s how I did it.
- First I stamped the four of the flower stems with Soft Sea Foam ink on a 4” x 2 ½” piece of Basic White cardstock.
- Then I lined up and stamped the flowers that match the stems with Bubble Bath ink.
- On the same piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the same flower stems three times (in between the four stems) with Garden Green ink.
- Stamp the matching flowers with Berry Burst ink.
Here’s the colour combination that I used for this card. The pink and greens go so well together.
I added some sponged ink with a Blending Brush to add even more depth to the images. You can see the complete process in the video and all the supplies for the card are listed below. And of course you can ask me questions anytime about any of my projects.
I hope you enjoyed my Softly Sophisticated Sale-a-bration card project. I’ll be back with some more Sale-a-bration ideas for you to look at soon!
