Handmade Gardening Card using Flowering Rain Boots

handmade gardening card flowering rain boots Do you have a gardener in your life or someone who just love flowers?  Use the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle from Stampin’ Up! and hand make them a personalised gardening card.

You can make endless gardening cards with the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle.  This is a stamp set where there is enough detail on the stamps to simply stamp in with a colour of ink.  Or if you prefer to watercolour or colour in the images,  by first the stamping the image in a black ink,  you can do that too.

  • Tulips or Daisies and a  greeting
  • Tulips or Daises (or a mix) in pots
  • Tulips or Daisies in rain boots
  • Tulips of Daisies in Watering Can
  • Rain Boots and a greeting
  • Watering Can and a Greeting
  • Seed Packet and a Greeting

Plus, if you add in the dies, you also have a cute little tool (pictured on this card) and a fun border piece too. With the coordinating Rain Boots Dies, you can cut out all the images for some textural elements like on this card.  When you bundle the dies and the stamp set together you get 10% off the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle (see the product list at the end of this post).

flowering rain boots diesIt got this card in a demonstrator card swap (I’ve lost the tag on who made this awesome card) and I love all of the elements on this card.  The artist (because I have to call the person an artist as this gardening card is so creative) used an additional stamp set and dies to create this garden scape.  The Home and Garden Bundle has retired and is no longer available.  The Flowering Rain Boots Bundle is also on the retiring list and you have until June 30th (or sooner if it sells out) to get it.

See full details on the retiring list here.

See the complete supply list below for what is on this garden card.

Two other items are on the retiring list on this gardening card as well:  The Designer Series Paper and the Pebbles.  For an alternative to the sold out Designer Series Paper, I’d suggest the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper as it also has a great backgrounds like wood panels.  The Pebbles Enamel Shapes are a perfect accent to add to gardening or landscape type of cards.  They are also only available while supplies last or until June 30th.  You can see another card where I used the pebbles here in my weekly Facebook Live.

Another couple of fun technique elements that make this a great gardening card are the little tool, the multicoloured tulips, and the “earth”. The little tool is from the coordinating Rain Boots Dies and the artist just did half of it with Silver Foil paper and half with Crumb Cake cardstock.  To get the multicoloured tulips, ink up the stamp first with a lighter colour and then use a Sponge Dauber to add some of the darker ink colour to the stamp before stamping it on your cardstock.  The “earth” is just a piece of ripped crumb cake cardstock with a little bit of Crumb Cake ink sponged over the ripped edge.

The last perfect thing to add to a handmade Gardening Card is rubber boots on the inside of the card–perfect for working in the garden!
