Sweet as a Peach Birthday Angle Card

This Sweet as a Peach Birthday card is very, well, sweet is the word!   One of the best parts of the end of summer is always the peaches (or so my husband says as he is a big peach lover).  I wanted to share this birthday card with you at this time as peaches always make me think of summer and I’m kind of in denial that the end of the summer is coming to a close.

As demonstrators, we often start focussing on Christmas and Holiday cards right about now, especially with the release of the Holiday Catalogue, but I just want it to be summer just a little longer.

sweet as a peach bundleThe Sweet as a Peach Bundle includes both the stamp set and a matching set of dies.  There are flowers and greenery and fruit all in the stamp set.  And look at all those sayings and dies that you get with this bundle!  I love the sayings that match the peach theme:

  • Have a Peachy Day
  • Sweet as a Peach

I got this card in a demonstrator card swap and I love the fun angle on the front of the card.  It was created by using the the fabulous Basic Borders Dies!  The die used on this card is the 3rd one down in the picture (you can see all of the supplies on this card at the end of this post).

Basic Borders diesAlso on this card are dies from the Scalloped Contours Die Set.  The Scalloped Contours Dies set is the die scalloped die for both the background behind the flowers and the scalloped die cut for the birthday saying.  The scalloped contour dies not only cut out the images from the Color & Contour stamp set, but also have these super useful scalloped rectangles that you can pair with any other card, like this peach card!

In addition to the front angle of the card, here’s some other things I love on this card:

  • The ribbon treatment.  This ribbon is just folded over and then secured with a piece of Baker’s Twine
  • TheMatching, You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper in the background (see the full supply list at the end of this post).
  • The two-tone flowers which are created by first stamping in Pale Papaya and then sponging extra Calypso Coral ink on the stamp before stamping!
  • The Gems.  The Genial gems have a slight orange and gold fleck in them so they match the card colours perfectly.

I’ll have another Sweet as a Peach card to show you at www.StampwithJenn before summer officially disappears.
