I’d Rather be in Maui

This has been a tough week.  Not only are we in the countdown to our move to Kingston, but also I’m missing a trip that I was looking SO forward to.

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, there are many perks, including making income from sales,  classes, team recruiting or selling finished cards.  I also really enjoy getting my own products at a discount.  But my favourite part of the demonstrator compensation plan is the ability to earn a trip.  This does take lots of work and team building, but I’ve been fortunate to have a supportive family and an amazing group of customers and team members.  You know who you are.  Thank you!!!!! You can read more about what demonstrators do here.

We’ve also been on numerous trips with the company.  These are trips, I would have never been on if it hadn’t been for earning them.  This past week was a trip to Maui, Hawaii.  When I earned the trip 2 years ago, we were so excited and then COVID happened.  The first year, 2020, Stampin’ Up! postponed the trip and rolled it into a “bigger” trip this year.  Sadly, many of the demonstrators world wide who earned this trip were still not able to go due to their countries travel restrictions and recommendations.  Stampin’ Up! made the decision to travel anyways as many of the American demonstrators were vaccinated and able to go and the resort would not hold the reservation any longer.

Canadian demonstrators decided that we should still celebrate each other and get together virtually (meeting of other demonstrator, especially fellow Canadian trip earners, is always a highlight of any trip).

We had a virtual get together last weekend with about 45 of the 50 earners present.  Can you spot me in these group pictures?

Canadian Demonstrators May 2021

We had a fabulous time sharing and crafting together.  It helped heal some of that COVID fatigue!

In addition the Canadian head office, sent us all a little gift in the cutest packaging, using the Timeless Tropical stamp set and In the Tropics Dies (love that large pineapple die).

The surprises weren’t over either. We then got this pretty box from Stampin’ Up! with some lovely Hawaiian products in it.

So although I’d rather be in Maui, I’m pretty happy to be home and safe with my family  and to be preparing for our next adventure.

If you want to join my team and learn more, please check out this post and special offer only for new demonstrators in May.
