Your Creative Connection: Love is in the Air Wedding Card
It’s time for another post with my around the world friends from Your Creative Connection. Today’s theme is “Love is in the Air”. I decided that I would interpret this theme to mean a wedding card. I can’t wait to see how my sister stampers interpreted this theme.
I made this wedding card using two BRAND new stamp sets from the upcoming 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. If you don’t have this catalogue, let me know you want one as it starts on June the 3rd. You can fill in my form here.
The flowers in the new Blossoms in Bloom stamp set is one of the special Distinktive stamps sets from Stampin’ Up! This means that the image will stamp with shading built right into the stamp. I think this gives the image a beautiful watercoloured look and all you have to do is stamp the image. I did use a sponge dauber to further accentuate the images by adding some darker shading in the middle of the flowers.
I thought the sentiments from the new Field of Flowers Stamp set were perfect for a wedding card. I love the size and the font of the “Always” saying and I embossed it in gold. I normally like to add ribbon on a wedding card, but on this card, the floral bouquet is really the star so I didn’t want to take away from that. Instead, I accented the card with a gold foil layer. And I also added in the new Gilded Gems which add a perfect shiny bling to the card. You can see the full supply list for this card at the end of this post.
Besides the gold and the white, the other colours on this card are:
- Highland Heather
- Gorgeous Grape
- Seaside Spray
- Night of Navy
- Soft Sea Foam
- Granny Apple Green
I love the purples and the blues together for flowers (of course, anything purple I LOVE). When you are stamping your card, don’t forget to stamp the inside too!
If you are making a wedding card, it is really nice to also use the Stampin’ Up! envelopes as they are smooth and heavier than a cheaper envelope. I also stamped on the envelope to make the perfect match for my wedding card. See the full supply list for this card at the end of this post.
