Your Creative Connection ~ Golf Clubhouse Centre Step Masculine Card

Your Creative Connection Banner

I find masculine cards the hardest ones to make, so when I saw the theme for our next “Your Creative Connection” group of “How Suite It Is”, I knew I wanted to use the  Country Club Suite

In addition, to a masculine theme for Father’s Day, I also wanted to make a fancy fold card.  The card below is what I came up with to pull all those elements together.  Leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  And be sure to scroll down to the end of this post to see how my fellow demonstrators interpreted this week’s theme.Clubhouse Bundle golf Stampin' Up!

The centre step fold is a fun fold to make and it can work for any stamped image that you want to feature and pop up.  The card will still fold flat too!  You can see how exactly to cut this type of card in my video.   I have a printable idea sheet below that includes a template with all of the measurements for the centre step card.

To make a masculine card, I think you need the right stamp set and the right colour choices.

For this card, I used Night of Navy as my card base and accented it with Garden Green, Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate.

I got my colour palette from the Country Club Designer Series Paper (which is also part of the Country Club Suite Bundle). I love how Stampin’ Up! now prints the coordinating colours on the packaging for each of the Designer Series Papers.

You’ll notice too in this picture of the Country Club Designer Series Paper that there are images you can cut out and colour, including one of a woman golfer.  You could just get the paper alone with no stamp set and make a ton of great golfing cards!  I also used the Country Club Designer Series Paper on my background of the card and to die cut the little tiny golf ball (which you can see in the video).

The products I used on my card from the Country Club Suite are the:

  • Clubhouse Bundle (stamp set and dies)
  • Country Club Designer Series Paper
  • Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder

There are two other products from the suite that I didn’t use, but I show in the video. I’ve put a link to all of the items in the Country Club Suite below.

With one ID number, #153930, you can get all of the products in the Country Club Suite Bundle.

GREAT card!!! I have this set & love it! Your tip about replacing the stamped golf club w/a foil club is genius! I haven’t made a center step card in a long time but it looks like I will be doing it now! Going to do this for my 3 sons-in-law, my husband & my brother! Thanks for your inspiration!
