I made this card using a new stamp set, Bird Banter from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue.

I just love this little Toucan bird and with the matching saying.  Love my puns!!  And love the fun sayings in this stamp set.    I made this card for a special lady at the Stampin’ Up!, Valerie who I talk with every couple of weeks about my business.  She is always so helpful and I love that Stampin’ Up! offers this free service to demonstrators.  Read more about other demonstrator perks here.

I coloured the Toucan bird with our new Stampin’ Blends alcohol based markers (see more the Blends HERE) and then coloured

over the bird with Wink of Stella after.   So the bird shimmers and matches the gorgeous shimmer black shimmer ribbon. It doesn’t show up very well in a photo, but in person the card has lots of shimmer from the ribbon, the rhinestones, and the Wink of Stella.

Speaking of rhinestones, here’s a TIP!   I made these rhinestones black by colouring them with a black sharpie marker and then letting them dry for a minute before adding them to my project.
