 Card – Trifold Santa


 

I hope that you have started working on your Christmas cards, but if you are still looking for a cute idea, how about this fun tri-fold card? It is a lot easier than it looks!

SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: Jolly Old Saint Nick (wood: 121711. clear: 121321); Many Merry Messages (wood only: 116586)
PAPER: Real Red 12×12 card stock (119940); Whisper White (100730) and Garden Green card stock (102584); Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Paper (120809)
INK: Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad (101179); Pumpkin Pie (105115), Real Red (100052), Pink Pirouette (120969), Wild Wasabi (120975). Baja Breeze (120965), Bashful Blue (105111), Garden Green (100080), and Basic Black (100082) Stampin’ Write markers
ACCESSORIES: Real Red 5/8” Grosgrain ribbon (109052); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Crop-a-Dile (109362)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut Real Red card stock 12” x 5-3/4” and score at 4” and 8”. Fold into accordion shape.
2. On first section, measure ¾” from top and each side and cut along those lines to make a tag shape. Repeat on other 2 sections.
3. Cut 4 pieces of Designer Paper 5-1/2” x 3-3/4”, trim off top corners, and adhere to each section of the card. Adhere a strip of contrasting paper to front panel.
4. Use Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole in the first section and tie a length of ribbon through, knotting in place.
5. All stamping is done with Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad on Whisper White card stock. Stamp one Santa head, one small Santa, two snowmen, “Wishing you a”, and “Warmest greetings…” Trim Santa head piece and word pieces; and layer onto red card stock. Cut out small Santa and snowmen, leaving a narrow margin around outside edges. Color images as desired.
6. Cut “merry”, “little”, and “christmas” from the Designer Paper and layer each ont onto red cardstock. Layer “merry” and “little” again onto Garden Green card stock.
7. Adhere Santa face to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere “Wishing you a”, “merry”, and “little” to first inside panel. Adhere “christmas” and snowmen to second inside panel. Adhere “Warmest greetings. . .” and small Santa to third inside panel.

Main Joy Page Instructions:

1. Cut the following:
Deck the Halls DSP
1 @ 4″ strip of scripted Cherry Cobbler
1 @ 2-1/2″ strip of the Early Espresso Pattern
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
1 @ 1-1/2″ x 12″
2 @ 6″ x 4″
1 @ 6″ x 2″
Crumb Cake
1 @ 1-1/2″ x 12″ strip
Very Vanilla
2 @ 5-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
1 @ 5-7/8″ x 1-7/8″

2. Use the Tearing Edge tool to tear the edge of the Early Espresso DSP & Crumb Cake strip. Layer the Crumb Cake onto the Cherry Cobbler strip, and both onto the torn Espresso DSP.
3. Adhere the scripted DSP to the bottom of the page, and layer the strip created above onto the paper. Cut a 13-1/2″ piece of Early Espresso satin ribbon, and adhere to the top of the Crumb Cake strip.
4. Stamp two ornaments onto Very Vanilla scrap cardstock (one from Delightful Decorations, and the other from Tags til Christmas), and punch out using the Ornament punch. Punch 2 ornaments from Early Espresso cardstock, and layer the stamped images on top, leaving a shadow in the bottom right side of the image. Cut a 4″ and 2″ piece of Early Espresso Taffeta ribbon, and attach the back of the ornaments with Glue Dots.
5. Using the Big Shot and Serif Essentials Alphabet, cut the word JOY from Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso cardstock. Layer the letters together so that the shadow of Early Espresso appears in the bottom right of the letters.
6. Adhere the Very Vanilla rectangles to their corresponding Cherry Cobbler rectangles. Position all pieces on the page (letters, ornaments, rectangles) and adhere.
7. Add two Styled Very Vanilla brads to the bottom right corner of the page.
8. Add Basic Pearls to the ornaments, and the centres of the brads.

2nd page instructions:

1. Cut the following:

4. Adhere the Very Vanilla rectangles to their Cherry Cobbler counterparts. Position on page and adhere.
5. Stamp the ornament from the Tags til Christmas set on Very Vanilla cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink. Punch using the Ornament punch. Punch a second ornament from Early Espresso cardstock. Mount together so that a shadow is showing on t
he bottom right corner. Adhere the bottom right corner to the page, overlapping it over the photo above.
6. Add 2 Styled Vanilla brads & Vanilla frame to the page.
7. Add Basic Pearls to the ornaments, and the centres of the brads.
