Tree cardQuick and Easy Christmas Card

Looking for quick easy cards to make after you “trim the tree?” These cards come together very quickly as the images are punched out using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. As an alternative, use some of our beautiful holiday Designer Series Paper, like the Festival of Prints Paper Pack to punch out the tree pieces. Quickly you will have decorated your cards as well!

2. Stamp 3 tree images from the Pennant Parade stamp set with Old Olive ink onto Old Olive card stock. Punch out with the builder punch. Score each tree shape in half with the Simply Scored tool. Adhere folded triangles together, and then adhere to Whisper White cardstock. This will provide the pop up shape, that easily folds flat when placed in the envelope.

6. Tie the Early Espresso Baker’s Twine to card as shown before attaching to Old Olive card base.

Snowbanks cardSnow Technique

For some of your Christmas, holiday and winter cards, you might want the background to have a snowy look. This is easy to achieve with some tearing and some glitter! What’s better for a sparkly, snowy look than some of our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter?

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:: Snow Much Fun #122560 (w) #122562 (c) Ink: Stazon Jet Black Ink Pad #101406, Marina Mist #126962
CARDSTOCK: Whisper White #100730, Marina Mist #119682
ACCESSORIES: 2-Way Glue Pen #100425, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter #102023, Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430, Paper Snips #103579, Stamping Sponges #101610, SNAIL Adhesive #104332, Blender Pen #102845, Stampin’ Write Markers: Lucky Limeade #123002, Old Olive #100079, Real Red #100052, Basic Black #100082, Baja Breeze #119700 Snowbanks2
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. For this sample card, stamp the tree in Stazon Black on the Whisper White card layer (4” x 5 ¼”) not all the way at the bottom, allowing room for “snow”. Color in the tree with Blender Pen and markers or any coloring technique you prefer. Stamp a greeting on the card front. Adhere this layer to the Marina Mist card base.
Snowbanks3 2. Stamp the snowman in Stazon Black on a scrap of Whisper White card stock. Color in and cut out with Paper Snips.
3. Technique: To make the snow banks at the bottom of the card, just take a scrap of Whisper White card stock wide enough to fit across the bottom of the card (4”) and tear toward yourself so one piece will have a rough edge. Tear another piece the same way. You want the tearing to go up and down like snow banks would. See how they fit together, one behind the other. If necessary, do a little more tearing until you achieve the look you want.
4. Using a piece of sponge, sponge a little Baja Breeze along the torn edge and maybe very lightly on the snow itself.
Snowbanks45. Adhere the snow strips along the bottom of the card. Trim off any excess edges.
6. Using the 2-Way Glue Pen, apply some adhesive to the torn edges of the snow pieces and maybe little lines in the snow. Also put a few dots in the background for snowflakes. Spread Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the card and shake off the excess.
7. Adhere the snowman to the card front using dimensionals.

Gifts in a jar

Gifts in a Jar Project

It is ALL the rage right now to package and give gifts in mason jars, but how adorable is it to give something in a MINI jar! You can find them almost anywhere from your local supermarkets to craft stores and with the right accessories you have yourself a beautiful, thoughtful handmade gift!
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Perfectly Preserved (126690 WM) (12662 CM)
Ink: Lucky Limeade Marker #123002, Early Espresso Marker, Black Staz-on #101406
Paper: Crumb Cake #120953, Early Espresso #119686, Lucky Limeade #122926, Whisper White #100730
Accessories:  Small Oval #119873, 1/16″ Handheld Punch #101227, Big Shot: Bitty Banners Framelits #129267, Cannery Set Framelits #127822, Candlelight Christmas Designer Fabric #126905, Gumball Green 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon #126848, Linen Thread #104199, Snail Adhesive #104332 , Mini Glue Dots #103683 , Stampin’ Demensionals #104430
Other:  Mini Mason Jars (non-SU)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stamp your JAR image from the Perfectly Preserved set using Staz-on ink onto your Crumb Cake card stock.
2. Ink your lid image using the Lucky Limeade or Early Espresso markers and stamp your images onto whisper white card stock. **I would make this piece of card stock large enough to accommodate the lid images and the sentiment images ALONG with their framelits, so you can cut them BOTH out at the same time.**
3. Using the same ink as your lid image, stamp your sentiment “just for you” onto the whisper white card stock.
4. Place the coordinating framelits from the Cannery set and the Bitty Banners set on their appropriate images, making sure that the ridge or cutting side of the framelit is AGAINST the stamped image. TIP: to make sure that the images and framelits stay in position, hold them together using a POST-IT NOTE.
5. Layer your images and framelit dies on your cutting plates and run through your BIG SHOT. **PROPER SANDWICH- 1.Multi-purpose platform (completely closed), clear cutting plate, images & framelits, clear cutting plate**
6. NOTE- I cut out an extra un-stamped jar and lid shape to create a back of my tag, this way you can open the tag and write on the inside and it is more like a mini card than JUST a tag, this is totally optional though.
7. use your small oval punch to create a Early Espresso or Lucky Limeade oval shape.
8. Once you have cut out all your shapes, adhere together your lid to your jar, and your sentiment flag and your oval using snail adhesive.
9. Then use a demensional to secure the flag/oval piece to the inside of your jar.
10. If you fashioned another jar to use on the back you will take a few glue dots and secure the lids together at the top, making sure to leave the “jar” parts unglued so you can write inside.
11. Take your 1/16″ handheld punch and create a small hole through the lid of the jar, off to the side.
12. fold a 6″ piece of Linen thread through your hole just about an inch or less, folded side first, then take the separated ends and feed them over the top of your lid and through the linen thread on the other side going through the loop, pull tight and you have a sting for your tag.
13. tie your loose linen thread ends into a knot to create a looped hole for your tag.
14. If you are creating the jar using the Designer Fabric as the bow, then cut a strip of fabric roughly 27″ long by 3/4″ wide, wrap around the jar lid and tie a knot, feed the tag through one end of your fabric strip ends and move towards the knot, then finish with a bow.
15. If you are making the fabric topped jar then cut a piece of fabric roughly 1-2″ wider than the removable circle for your jar, place the fabric over the removable disc and place on the jar and secure with the screw portion of the jar.
16. Finish off with a piece of Gumball Green Satin Stitched ribbon tied in a knot and feed your tag through on end then tie another knot in the Gumball Green ribbon to secure.
FILL your jars with your favorite candies, treats, or better yet- bake PUMPKIN BREAD in the jars before decorating them and give away as gifts.
