INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: Cutting apart the image from the sentiment makes it easier to use for this project. With Clear-Mount, you can cut the image and sentiment apart and then put them on the block either separately or together. With Wood-Mount, you can cut the two apart and mount the sentiment on the end of the block.

1. Stamp blimp image from Moving Forward on Whisper White Card Stock. Punch it out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. Color in a few flags and the “string” with a Bashful Blue Stampin’ Write Marker (in the Subtles Collection Stampin’ Write Markers). Color in a few other flags with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker. Lastly, put a 1/8″ Mini Brad through the propeller at the top of the image.

2. Cut the Cherry Cobbler Core’dinations Card Stock to 4″ x 4″ and run through the Big Shot with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Then use the Stampin’ Sanding Block to sand until the desired effect is achieved. Use the Core’dinations Dust Buddy to clean up the card stock sanded off. Now cut the piece down to 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ (it will clean up any rough edges).

3. Attach the sanded piece from Step 2 to a 4″ x 4″ square of Midnight Muse card stock using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4. Attach the pieces from Step 3 to a Bashful Blue card base cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

5. Using the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, the Stampin’ Pierce Mat, and the Paper-Piercing Tool, use the template with the grid on it to pierce 3 holes for the brads under the square card stock pieces. (If you want, use a piece of card stock or a punched piece to cover up the brad backs on the inside of the card.)

6. Stamp the happy birthday from the Moving Forward stamp set onto a scrap of Bashful Blue card stock. Using the largest of the Bitty Banners Framelits, cut out the sentiment, placing it to the far right of the banner before running it through the Big Shot. Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it to the sanded Cherry Cobbler Paper.

7. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the image from Step 1 onto the card! Mail the card out today to a friend!!!

Summer scrapbook pageSCRAPBOOK PAGE –Summer 2012

There are so many wonderful new products in the new 2012-2013 Catalog and the 2012-Holiday Mini Catalog and this new 8”x 8” scrapbook page utilizes some of them! I love the new Floral Frames and Apothecary Accents Framelits and think of the fun words we can make using the new Typeset Bigz Alphabet! The new 8×8 scrapbook pages allow more room to be creative than the retired 6”x6”, but are a nice alternative when you want something smaller than 12” x 12” pages.
