Card – GOT SCRAPS???
If you have scraps of Designer Series Paper then this might be a fun card for you. You’ll need a piece of card stock that coordinates with your DSP scraps, a 1-1/4” square punch, and a bit of time. I did a class with this card and the participants loved it! Make several and then add the greeting when you need a special card. It will work for many occasions.
SUPPLIES:
Stamp Set/s: Perfectly Penned (122890-w; 122892-c) Bordering on Romance(125480-w; 125482-c Occasions Mini)
Card Stock: Lucky Limeade (122926), Very Vanilla (101650), Everyday Enchantment (126154-Sale-a-Bration); Scraps: Lucky Limeade (122926) OR Old Olive (100702), Very Vanilla (101650), Soft Suede (115318)
Ink: Soft Suede Classic Pad (115657), Marker: Chocolate Chip (100071) OR Early Espresso (119680)
Accessories: Punches: 1-1/4” square (119865), Blossom (125603), Boho Blossoms (119858), 1/16” Circle (101227); Stamping Sponge (101610), Dimensionals (104430), Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack (127279), Snail Adhesive (104332), Paper Snips (103579)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Punch out 9 squares of different patterns (from scrap pieces) of Designer Series Paper. Set aside.
2. Cut (8-1/2” x 5-1/2”) and score (at 4-1/4”) a piece of coordinating card stock. Trim 1/4” from front flap, making it 1/4” shorter than the back flap.
3. Using a pencil, make a tick mark 2-3/4” from the left and right edges (i.e. in the middle), and a generous 1/2” up from the bottom edge.
4. Using the 1-1/4” square punch, turned on the ‘diagonal: Be sure that the left and right ‘points’ of the punch are parallel along the bottom edge of the card front and the the top point is lined up with the tick mark in the center. Punch out that first square. Repeat twice to the left and to the right. Those punches on the far left and far right will only be 1/2 of a square. Make sure you have them lined up carefully!
5. Arrange the DSP pieces in a pleasing pattern and then secure them with Snail Adhesive, leaving a 1/16” border on the bottom row. Trim off excess DSP (from the back so you can see the card stock edge) from the far right and left squares with Paper Snips.
6. Use either the Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso Marker to make faux stitching around each square. It really adds a lot!
7. Using the Blossom punch, punch out a blossom using Very Vanilla card stock. Sponge the edges with a colour that coordinates with your DSP. I used Pool Patio.
8. Punch out the larger two images using the Boho Blossoms Punch and colours of your choice. Layer these pieces onto the Blossom, securing with a dab of Snail Adhesive.
9. Punch two adjacent holes in the center of the Blossom layers as a guide for the Enchantment Brad. Insert brad. (It’s too flexible to push through the layers without the guide hole.)
10. Attach Dimensional to the back of the Blossom and attach to the card front.
11. Stamp greeting of choice to the right of the Blossom with Soft Suede ink.
12. Using a 1” x 5-1/2” pieces of Very Vanilla card stock, stamp it with the long flower image from the Bordering on Romance stamp set using Soft Suede ink. Attach to the inside back flap with Snail Adhesive, at the bottom so that it shows through. Embellish the flowers if desired.

Re-ink after each stamp, and do not press too hard so the scored crevices are not inked. Lightly fold on score lines, and with the Stamping Sponges and Pacific Point Stampin’ Pad, lightly sponges the edges of each square, again, being careful not to fill the crevices with ink.
3. If you need to, run the White Gel Pen over the crevices to cover any ink.

Affix this piece to bottom portion of ‘tiles’, as shown in the photo, using SNAIL Adhesive.
7. Using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Little Leaves Sizzlets Die and Garden Green cardstock, cut two sets of leaves.
