No Colouring Floral Thank You Card with Lovely Arrangements (Stampin’ Up!)

If you love the look of beautifully coloured floral cards but don’t always want to spend the time colouring, this card is for you.

Today’s project uses a simple ink blending technique to add soft colour to stamped images. No detailed colouring required. The result is a soft, elegant thank you card that comes together quickly but still feels polished.

The Card Design

This layout is one I come back to often. It’s simple, flexible, and works beautifully with both bold and soft colour combinations.

For this card, I paired:

  • Fresh Freesia
  • Secret Sea
  • Cloud Cover

The combination creates a soft, calming look that works perfectly for thank you cards, sympathy cards, or even anniversary cards.

The “No Colouring” Technique

Instead of colouring each flower, I used a blending brush to lightly apply Fresh Freesia ink directly over the stamped image.

This gives you:

  • soft, even colour
  • a watercoloured look
  • a much faster finish

You can leave it as is, or add a little extra depth with Stampin’ Blends just along the lines of the image for a more finished look.

Texture + Layers Make the Difference

The Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder adds subtle texture in the background without overpowering the design.

I also used the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper to bring in a soft pattern and a bit of visual interest.

Both of these are currently on the Last Chance list, so if they’re on your wish list, this is a good time to grab them before they’re gone.

More Card Ideas with This Colour Combo

Once I started working with this colour combination, I couldn’t stop.

Here are a couple of additional ideas using the same palette:

This one adds a bit more layering and detail, but keeps that same soft, elegant feel.

You can see how changing the technique slightly gives you a completely different look while keeping the same colours.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve ever felt like colouring slows you down or feels overwhelming, this is a great technique to try.

It gives you that soft, finished look without the extra time, and it’s easy to adapt with any colour combination you already have.
