Grateful Fall Card with Oak Leaves & Acorns | Stampin’ Up! Amber Autumn Stamp Set

With September arriving, kids heading back to school, and the air turning crisp, I naturally look for stamp sets that capture the beauty of the season. The brand new Amber Autumn stamp set (see it below) does just that, with detailed images of pumpkins, oak leaves, and acorns—perfect for fall-themed cards.

Today’s card highlights the oak leaf and acorn image. I paired it with the warm “Grateful for You” sentiment and let the colouring take centre stage. It’s the kind of card that works beautifully for Thanksgiving or any time you want to send a note of appreciation.

Why I love this design

Simple but polished. The stitched square (from my most-used die set, Stylish Shapes Dies~ see image below) instantly elevates the focal image. The stitched sentiment banner is also from this same set—proof of how versatile it is!
Background that works twice as hard. The painterly green design comes from Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper. It’s gorgeous for autumn projects now and will also shine on Christmas cards. A paper you’ll truly use all season long.
Rustic finishes. The Irregular Weave Trim adds a natural touch, while a few Streaked Dots tie in the warm brown tones of the acorns.

Colouring tips (Stampin’ Blends)

I stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento and coloured the leaves with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers (see more about the Blends markers here). The acorns are shaded with Pecan Pie and touches of the Deep Neutrals for contrast. For a soft, glowing look, I added a faint Cloud Cover halo around the image. Finally, I cut out the acorns out with my scissors and layered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and tucked them back onto the leaves for subtle depth.
