Quick & Easy Paper Butterfly Striped Card
The Paper Butterfly Accents from Stampin’ Up! are my new favourite accessory to use on a handmade greeting card.
The Paper Butterflies come in a package with 40 detailed laser-cut butterflies. You just gently punch them out. They are white as pictured above, but you can see from my card that you can colour them.
Watch the video I made here where I coloured my butterflies black.
I love the simple design of this card with just four strips of cardstock (in this case, I did various shades of blue/purple) and then a small vellum accent, a greeting and some gems. You can see the full list of supplies at the end of this post.
Three of the colours that I used on this card, Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide are all retiring ‘In Colors’. That means that after April 30th, they will no longer be available to purchase (or sooner if they sell out sooner). I’ll be sad to see these colours go, especially Orchid Oasis as there is no other colour like the pretty blue/purple in the Stampin’ Up! collection. And these colours all look so great together as you can see in my colour combo below.
You can see all of the retiring products here.
Also on that retiring list, and already sold out, is the Vellum cardstock. So if you have something you have had your eye on, don’t wait as products will sell out in this last week! You can also shop retiring items HERE in my Online Store.
Luckily the Paper Butterfly Accents will be in the next catalogue, so you will be able to get those in the 2024-2025 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.
