What’s Cookin’ Baker Birthday Card
I had fun making this birthday card for a baker using the What’s Cookin’ Bundle from Stampin’ Up! I have had this bundle for a while and recently pulled it out to make another cooking type of card.
I love all of the die cuts that match the stamped images. There are die cuts for the bowl, the salt and pepper shakers, the rolling pin, the knife, the measuring cups, the scraper, the wooden spoon. And there are additional die cuts for a spatula, a whisk and a cutting board (I have a card using the board to show you in another post coming soon). In addition there are some mini little chef hats (would be cute as a border) and some little veggies.
On my card, I stamped the rolling pin and the wooden spoon with Crumb Cake ink onto Basic White cardstock. I also used a marker to ink up just the top of the scrapper with Crumb Cake ink. For the bottom of the scrapper and the bowl, I used Fresh Freesia ink. Then I used the matching die cuts to cut everything out. I used dimensionals on a couple of the die cut pieces to add height and interest to the card.
The What’s Cookin’ Bundle is one of the bundles on sale for 20% off during March 2022. You can see the full list of bundles and sale details here.
There are fun sayings on this card that would go perfectly with a good or cooking theme. Imagine giving someone some muffins or banana bread with a cute little tag thats says “Happiness is Homemade” or “Sending a Dash of Kindness and a Spoonful of Love“. Although I think the sayings in this stamp set are super cute, I used another stamp set for the saying as I wanted to make it a birthday card. You can see the complete list of supplies for this card at the end of this post.
I added the images from the What’s Cookin’ Bundle to one of my favourite layers from the Scalloped Contours Dies. And I finished off the card with some pretty matching Designer Series paper from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper. The paper has gorgeous pattens including the floral Fresh Freesia pattern that I picked. Of course all the kitchen accessories, papers, and accessories had to match for a perfect kitchen set up!!
