The new Love & Happiness Bundle from Stampin’ Up! with the Hybrid Embossing Folder is so cool.

I made this wedding card using this beautiful new bundle from the newest Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.  The Love & Happiness stamp set has lots of sentiments for anniversaries, weddings, engagement, and valentines.

But it is the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder and the dies that come with bundle that make it really unique and fun to use.

In the Love & Happiness Bundle you get ALL of these THREE products:

1. Love & Happiness Stamp Set
2. Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder
3. Matching Dies

If you just run the Embossing folder through your die cutting machine, you will get a beautiful embossed image of detailed little flowers and a heart shape in the middle (see the image above of the bundle).  But if you add the largest heart die into the folder before you start embossing, you will get an embossed image AND a die cut embossed heart (see image below). There is a recessed spot in the folder that the die will sit.

I used this method on my card AND I did a sponging technique as well.  Here’s how I created the beautiful heart in the middle of my card.

1. I used Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes (see the supply list below) and sponged Pool Party ink on the folder where the middle heart is.
2. For this technique, sponge ink on the side of the folder that has the Stampin’ Up! logo on it.
3. Add the die to the heart and insert Basic White cardstock into the folder.
4. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (see more about this machine here).
5. Take the cardstock and die-cut out of the folder.
6. Wipe your folder with the Simply Shammy and let it dry.

Look how beautiful the heart is with the ink on the de-bossed part of the image.  It really makes the intricate white embossed image pop.

To finish off the card, I added the heart to a Pool Party piece of cardstock on the inside of the card. I actually cut a second hole through the front of the card first and placed the heart into the opening for a perfect fit. I also added dimensionals  to the back of the heart so the heart almost pops through the card opening.

I tied the lovely sheer Pool Party Ribbon (see details on this product at the end of this post) around the card front and tied it into a bow. This sheer ribbon looks so elegant for wedding card.

I also stamped the sentiment with Pool Party ink on one of the die pieces that comes in the stamp set.  I added some white Elegant Faceted Gems to the ends of the saying and one to the heart. By the way these are my FAVOURITE gems!  The sparkle from the faceted surface of the gems is so pretty and they just seem to work on so many projects (they are clear, white and a light pink colour).

I also made this alternate version using the White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon which really sparkles and picks up the Pool Party Colour.  I also added Wink of Stella to the heart on this card.  And for Gems I used the new Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels (in the new Mini Catalogue).  This card really sparkles in person.
