I received this wonderful masculine card using the Whiskey Business stamp set in a demonstrator card swap. I think the stamp set Whisky Business is great for birthdays, graduations, retirement, Father’s Day and more.

The Whiskey Business stamp set doesn’t always have to be a masculine set.  But on this card, I thought the colour choices and texture on the card felt more masculine. I love the Black on Black theme on this card.  The front panel of the card is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder and then backed onto Black card stock (see the full list of supplies used on this card at the end of this post). TIP:  When using a dark card base, add a white panel inside the card.

The whiskey bottle and glass images were stamped, coloured, and cut out (using paper snips scissors). They were then attached, with dimensionals, a black Stitched Circle shape.   The saying was embossed with Whisper White Ink and White Emboss powder on black card stock. It was also hand cut out and attached using dimensionals.

And the final two touches that tie in all the black colours and have a very “masculine” feel to them are the Black and White bakers twine (this is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack) and the Plaid paper that is gray and black.

This plaid paper is from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. I have loved using this paper on lots of cards this season, And although this paper is in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue it can be used for so much more with all the variety of colours.   This paper is also on the Stampin’ Up! retiring list and will only be available while supplies last or until January 4th.  See all of the retiring lists here.
