Make your Own Advent or Christmas Countdown Calendar
I made this Advent Calendar with Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Countdown Project Kit!
And good news, this kit is part of the Stampin’ Up! Sale that started today. This project kit is normally $41.00 (plus taxes and shipping) and it is on sale for 50% off. It’s a steal at $20.50. But it is only available while supplies last. See more about the sale here.
This advent calendar kit contains everything you need to create impressive handcrafted advent décor. It includes all the papers, adhesive stickers and numbers. All you need to add is adhesive. The main boxes and the little boxes that you insert all come pre-built. And I would recommend keeping the packing box it comes in so you have an easy way to store your calendar, when not in use.
Fill mini boxes with treats, pack them into the sturdy outer box, and let the countdown begin! It’s a perfect gift to buy now for next year!
I even used the reverse side of the boxes to create a birthday countdown calendar! How fun is this? You could give the birthday person a little surprise every day for the 25 days leading up to their birthday.
I created my birthday box #1 on the reverse of box #25 on the Christmas Countdown Calendar so that it is easy to pull out the boxes and swap them. If you do decide to create another type of countdown, like a birthday or a wedding countdown, use either one of the background pieces from the Christmas calendar to trace the shape. Or I used a 2″ x 2″ square of Designer Series Paper and used a circle punch to punch out where the finger grip goes.
The paper and colour scheme my Birthday Countdown boxes is from the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper.
