I love puns so I fell in love with the Witty-Cisms stamp set from Stampin’ Up! 2020 Mini Catalogue.  The stamp set includes 8 different punny sayings and matching images. The images are quick and easy to colour and many of them punch out easily too with a couple of Stampin’ Up! punches (see which punches below). What is your favourite image from this stamp set?

On this card, there is the cactus image with the “Lookin’ Sharp” words.  What a great way to tell someone happy birthday by telling them they are looking sharp!

I got this “Lookin’ Sharp” card from a demonstrator friend, Allison Okamitsu from Edmonton, Alberta.  She punched out the image using the 2″ Circle punch and the Starburst punch.  I used the same punches on my “Taco” punny card here.

The image is coloured with Blends markers.  Colour with the line on the image with the Dark Granny Apple Green Blends Alcohol marker first.  And then colour the rest of the image with the Old Olive Light Blends.  This will make the lines on the cactus look really sharp (no pun intended haha).  See the full list of supplies at the end of this post.

The bottom of the card is stamped with a texture stamp from the Label Me Bold stamp set.  Just stamp the dotted image, that looks like sand, with Crumb Cake ink on the bottom and then rip the edge of the paper.  I think the bottom, plus the twine that Allison added, give the card a very desert type feel.

And I love the saying Allison used on the card using the saying just repeated over and over again. The saying is also from the Label Me Bold stamp set.  This new stamp set is a reverse type of stamp set with the words in white and the outline shaded.  You can then make the saying match any card theme colours.

The colours on this card are neutral enough to work for a masculine card too.
