Christmas Tree Card
I love this Christmas Tree card from the Stampin’ Up! Shine Bright stamp set. I kept this card simple in it’s design to highlight the gorgeous stamped image. I coloured in the tree with my Blends markers (love how smoothly these markers colour). See more about Blends here. And see the full supply list for this card below.
The colours on this card are Real Red and Mossy Meadow. Both colours are regular Stampin’ Up! colours and available anytime and paired with the white, they are the perfect traditional Christmas colours.
I’ve added a couple of other details that I think helps the card look festive. One is the background embossing. I used the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and not meant specifically for Christmas, but I thought that the flowers on this folder went well with the poinsettia flowers on the tree.
I’ve also added some “Bling” in the form of rhinestones on the tree. This stamped image (see the set above) is perfect for rhinestones as there are little circles on the stamped image where the smaller rhinestones fit perfectly. And of course one for the top of the tree as well. I also added some Wink of Stella to the inside of the poinsettia flowers for some extra shine. Because nothing says Christmas, like shine and bling.
In my newsletter today, I used the dies that match this stamp set in two lovely cards. To make sure you don’t miss out future newsletters, sign up HERE.
