Party til the Cows Come Home

Over the Moon Stamp Set When the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue came out, I had to have this stamp set Over the Moon. Not only were the cow’s adorable, but it has the cutest little PUNS!  And I love puns!  These ones really aMOOse me!

“Cow’s it going?”

“Over the mooon for you!”

“You’re udderly fantastic!”

“Party til the cows come home!”

How adorable are all of those sayings?? You could use any of these sayings on a birthday card!  Seriously,  have I ever “steered” you wrong?

And the images are very sweet!  I don’t think it is a COWincidence that there is a stamp of a cow with it’s eyes closed and a stamp of a dream cloud that you can put together on a card.  Send this one to someone you love! Or throw COWtion to the wind and use the flower image for a card with a bouquet of flowers.  As with most handmade cards, they likely won’t BULLieve you made it.  Did you see what I did there? I’m not HOOF bad at these puns. 😆

And how about these party cows?  They might be CALF asleep after their wild birthday party!

To make this card, I started with stamping the cow images on some Whisper White cardstock.  Then I stamped the adorable little party hat from the stamp set Around the Corner stamp set on the top of the cows’ heads.  I coloured the cows with my Blends markers and then I die cut out the cows with square shaped dies.  You can see all of the supplies I used at the end of this post.

I thought it was looked more like a party to have the cows all at different angles in the squares. The colours I used on this card are Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Granny Apple Green.

And even though I loved the punny sayings in this stamp set I featured used Well Written Dies and the Wish for Everything stamp set for my “Happy Birthday” sentiment.  I did use the “Party till the cows come home” saying in the background of the card.  And the little star in the background is from the stamp set Making Christmas Bright.

I’ll have more punny cow cards using the Over the Moon stamp set on my blog this month.
