Shimmery Snowfall Card

This card was made by one of the talented demonstrators on my team, Laurie Alexander, from Burlington, Ontario.  Laurie made this for a display at our recent Stamp-A-Rama event.  She used the new Snow is Glistening stamp set and the Snowfall Thinlits Dies.  Both of these items are available as part of the  Snowflake Showcase from Stampin’ Up! (click HERE for more info).  See the full list of supplies at the end of this post.

I love how she made her snowflake shimmery by sponging Frost White shimmer paint over top of it.  In fact, Laurie created a double use of the die cut, by sponging the snowflake die cut while it was laying on the background Balmy Blue card stock. So not only did it leave a negative image behind on the cardstock, but she also has a very shimmery snowflake. You can see both of these in the photo that is on its side.

The colours on this card are Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Whisper White and Silver.  I love the blues and silver together as an alternate to the traditional red and green Christmas Colour Combinations.

I also love how the ribbon is folded on this card in kind of a Z formation. It adds just a touch of elegance and and some bulk to the card.  And matches nicely with the silver embossed saying.  And of course, no Christmas card is complete with out a little bit of added bling from the rhinestones.  See the full list of supplies below for this card and click on image to go to my Online Store.

Don’t forget to check out the other Snowflake Showcase products available too during November.
