The Dashing Deer stamp set and matching Detailed Deer Thinlits has been one of the most popular sets in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue.  I’ve featured in my newsletters and will featrued it in tomrorow’s newsletter too. (Please make sure you are signed up here).

On this card, I just used the dies to cut out my plaid deer from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  Also part of the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies set is the gorgeous die cut swirls that I put on the two corners of the card.   You can see all the supplies on this card below.

The design of this card was inspired by this  lawn sign that I got at Walmart.

I loved the idea of a deer cut out in plaid and with the wood grain pattern behind.  And the Festive Farmhouse DSP had both types of paper in the pack.  And I took inspiration from the little white swirls on the sign and added the corner  die cuts and the swirly font from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set. While this isn’t an exact copy of the sign, I was pretty pleased how the card came together.  What do you think?
