Take a Bite out of your Bunny for Easter!
I love this Easter card made by Vicki Howie, a demonstrator in my group from Burlington, Ontario.
It reminds me of an funny e-mail that circulates around easter time…but this one in cardstock is so much cuter.
The stamp is the Chocolate Bunny stamp from Stampin' Up's Occasions Mini and it is only $10.95!!
The "bites" are done with the scallop circle punch! How cute is that!
Vicki also used Stampin' Up's Eyelet Border Punch for the grass. She hand journalled the sayings with a matching Bermuda Bay marker and punched them out with oval punches.
To get the mirror image or reverse image of the bunny:
- Ink the stamp and stamp onto a transparency or wax paper.
- Work quickly while this ink is wet and put the cardstock on top. Use a brayer to transfer the ink to the cardstock. Check out my Brayer Basics video HERE.
- The image will be slightly lighter than the original. You can make the two images match more in colour by stamping OFF the first image (stamp it on a piece of scrap paper) so that it is the same generation of ink as the 2nd image.
Too funny, I Love this!!! I didn’t notice at first that the left bunny had a bite out of him, too–until I read the captions. Nice, quick tutorial, too.
