How to Do Shabby Chic

Embossed-butterly-RosinaThis is one of the cards we made at my stamp club this month. I copied the design from the amazing, Rosina Petrella, a demonstrator in my group of demonstrators from Hamilton, Ontario.

I called it our Shabby Chic card design.  The picture does not do it justice..this was one of the favourites of the night.  The bottom part is wheeled (using a Stampin' Around wheel) in versamark ink using the Very Vintage Wheel (so pretty) and then embossed with Gold embossing Powder.  The saying is also stamped and embossed in gold.  The saying set is from the stamp set Well Scripted.  The gorgeous embossed butterfly is my newest, most favourite accessory.  It is the embosslits die Beautiful Wings for the Big Shot and it is exclusively available from Stampin' Up!  We first took a versamarker pen and highlighted the raised embossing on the butterfly to make it pop even more.  All of these products are from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Colours are Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.  The colours are all softly muted by adding sponged ink along all the edges.   Very pretty.  The combination of pretty pink paper and shiny gold embossing with the soft sponging make this perfectly Shabby Chic (in my humble opinion!)

I have space in a stamp club that starts next month.   Ask me fun@stampwithjenn.com to email you the information sheet to see if the dates work with your schedule.
