Guest Artist: Kerry Johnson: Back to School Treats

Kerry-1 This week's project is by the always creative Kerry Johnson.  Kerry made this adorable project for her son's teacher for the first day of school.

Kerry describes how she made it this fantastic teacher gift.

"I got this template for a flower pot box off of Splitcoast.  I stamped it with the Neighborhood wheel in chocolate chip ink and embellished with an old olive marker and white signo pen.

I covered York peppermint patties with scallop circles and stamped the apple from "Tart & Tangy" as well as various “students” and a “teacher” from "All in the Family".  I hand wrote the sentiment – Teachers are worth a MINT on one of the flaps.  I paired some of the new in colors with Kraft for a fall feel.  I tied the cellophane bag with a tag punch that I stamped one of the sentiments from the "Crazy for Cupcakes" and added in some in-color ribbon.  I actually fit a dozen patties in the box – I was surprised that it held that many!"

What  thoughtful gift for your son's teacher…wouldn't you love to have her child in your class? Thanks again for sharing your wonderful stamped art with us Kerry!Kerry-2 Kerry-3
