Gorgeous Cardinal Christmas!
Isn't this stamp set gorgeous? It is "A Cardinal Christmas" from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. The samples are all from fellow Canadian demonstrator, Alison Solven, from British Columbia.
This first sample has the cardinal stamped on vellum with white craft ink and then embossed. To colour, Alison flipped the image over and coloured on the wrong side to soften the look from the front. Gorgeous!
I love how Alison made the Cardinal's into Blue Jays (or blue Birds??) in these two samples.
In the next card, Alison used glassy glaze enamel embossing powder over her stamped image for a wonderful antique look. Then she has gently cracked the enamel for the shattered glass look. Click on the image to see the detail. Also completing the look is the new vanilla hodgepodge hardware.
This last card is a gorgeous watercoloured stamped image. It uses Stampin' Up's watercolour paper and aquapainters and of course, my favourite embellishment, Designer Series Papers.
I'll be holding another watercolouring class in the new year. Be sure you are signed up to my newsletter (by emailing me at fun@stampwithjenn.com) to hear first thing about my class schedule and other specials.
