Masculine Birthday
My son recently celebrated his 12th birthday. I was not allowed to GASP! stamp an invitation. Of course I couldn't completely not stamp something (what was he thinking?). So we got these notecards from a stationary store and I stamped just the "you're invited" (from the stamp set "Hugs and Wishes") on them and matted on a black circle. This qualified as "cool" enough. This stamp is a long stamp, but I used a marker to ink up one word at a time.
Then for his Birthday card, I made this cute card for him using one of my favourite stamp sets "Crab and Company" (which is also on sale 20% off only until the end of October!). I stamped and cut out the cake in a shell and attached it with dimensionals.
The inside of the card uses the saying from the set "Shore do Love You" and I stamped the shells along the inside too (you can see them better if you click on the picture to make it larger).
I also love using Designer Papers on my cards and this card uses the "Junior Varsity" papers with the colours of Rose Red, Old Olive, Bashful Blue and So Saffron (great masculine colours!).
