So Santa is So Cool

Isn’t this just the coolest Santa ever?  From his bright green scooter to his cool shades, this Santa is the man.  The images on this card are all from the So Santa stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue.

To create, the main part of the card, I stamped the Santa image with Memento Black ink.  And then I coloured him with my Blends alcohol markers from Stampin’ Up! You can see more about Blends Markers here.   The Blends markers make it so easy to get an image that is saturated with colour and to do a little bit of shading!

The saying is stamped with Versamark ink and then sprinkled with White Emboss powder and heat set with my heat tool.  I love the crisp white embossed saying on the bright Real Red cardstock.  I cut the scallop oval from the scallop oval from the Layering Oval dies from Stampin’ Up! And the white oval was cut with my most favourite dies–the Stitched Shaped framelits dies.  You can see all the supplies I used below.

I decided Santa needed a flashy cool scooter and I matched the scooter colour to the Granny Apple Green ribbon. Even though, these colours (Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy) aren’t traditional Christmas colours, I think they look amazing on this fun card.

I love the thick bright green ribbon tied in a bow. I actually did a wrap around the card base with the first piece of ribbon.  Then I tied the 2nd piece (about 12″) into a bow and attached it with glue dots. It makes for a much tidier bow.

The final item I added to this card was a little bit of bling with the Red Rhinestone Jewels! To shop for any of the Stampin’ Up! supplies on this So Santa card, click on any image.
