Tranquil Hearts Come Home

The Hearts Come Home Stamp set and matching dies is one of my favourite new bundles in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue.  On this card, I wanted to just use the stamps to show how versatile they are on their own.  And I wanted to do them in a silhouette colour other than black.  I decided on Tranquil Tide because I love the Designer Paper (which is actually from a floral Designer Pack, Delightful Daisy).  The designer paper has an ombre effect going from a Pool Party colour to the Tranquil Tide colour.  And Tranquil Tide is quickly becoming one of my favourite new ‘In-Colors’ (you can see another post I did here using this colour).  And I think it makes a lovely Christmas colour.  You can see all the supplies I used on this card at the end of the post. Just click on any of the images to go to my online store.

One tip I have for stamping a bunch of cards like this (I actually made this card as part of a swap with other Canadian demonstrators), is to mount the stamps all on one block so you can stamp all three houses at once. I also then positioned the trees where I wanted them (trial and error on my scrap paper) and positioned them on one block. It made stamping a bunch of these cards super quick and easy.

I kept this card simple and let the beautiful scene be the focal point along with the silver embossed saying (embossing is still always the biggest wow with stamping!) and the gorgeous new Silver Metallic-Edged White Ribbon.  I sponged Pool Party along the die cut ovals to help tie in the lighter colour on the designer Paper.  And of course, the final touch is to add some more sparkle with some Rhinestone Jewels.

Be sure to check back to www.stampwithjenn.com next week and I’ll share some cards made with the amazing Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies that come in the bundle with the Hearts Come Home stamp set.  Check back here tomorrow to view all of the new stamp sets and dies online when the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue officially starts.
