Guest Artist : Diane Kent: Stamped Cake!

I didn't forget the post today…just a little delayed with preparations for my stamp-a-stack camp tomorrow!

Today's artist is a talented demonstrator in my downline, Diane Kent, from Milton and she has done something AMAZING.  She stamped right into a wedding cake and WOW the results are stunning! Diane-kent-wedding-cake Who would have thought it was possible??

Here's how she did it:

Diane says she used rolled fondant (Wilton, cake decorating aisle).  Diane rolled it out and stamped it with the stamp set Brocade Basics (now retired stamp set).  Then she cut it out with rubber scissors and craft knife.  She let it dry overnight, and painted it with Wilton Pearl Dust (edible) to get the silver shimmer. She applied them to the cake with a bit of decorating gel.

Diane says,  "The bride was pleased with the detail the stamp provided and I got a huge kick out of the whole thing."

And here's the lovely couple, Gregory and Robyn Kent (click on the pic to see it better!)  Congratulations!
