Merry Christmas!

I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanks for all the lovely cards I've received in the mail.  There is nothing better than a homemade card in the mail!

Here's my Christmas card this year. Christmas card 2008 It uses Kraft paper and kraft tafetta ribbon…one of my favourite new combinations!

The "snowflake" is from one of my favourite stamp sets, "Snowburst".  I love this stamp set as it is so versatile and the patterns can look non-Christmasy too!  The "snow" is from a wheel.  I inked an "uninked" jumbo cartridge with gold ink refill to create the gold writing.  And because this ink is a pigment based ink, you can emboss with it, as I did here with iridescent ice embossing powder.

Other supplies used:  horizontal slot punch, gold brad, white embossing powder.

The card below was my initial attempt at a Christmas card.  I decided I liked the brown/gold/white combination better.
