I like to say that I help people SMILE (and I don’t just mean because of my corny puns ).
Getting a hand-stamped card or gift makes people smile.
Learning how to be creative, and hand-crafting items to GIVE away, makes people smile even more.
I run a home-based business teaching the art of rubber stamping, card making, and scrapbooking. I also sell Stampin’ Up! supplies and knowledge to make you a better crafter. When I first ran into Stampin’ Up! products, at a home-based workshop type of class, I fell in love with the simplicity of the craft. I never took art in school and so I felt this was a craft that I could get behind. After all, the art work is done for you on the stamps. You just have to stamp the images and assemble your project. And using Stampin’ Up! products, just makes it easy to succeed, as cardstock, ink, and accessories are colour co-ordinated. And many stamp sets have have matching dies and punches.
I initially just got a demonstrator kit, so that I could SAVE money on my initial and future purchases. After I all I loved the product and could see myself buying more.
But I quickly realized that some hard work and commitment to the business end of things, that I could EARN some money to pay some household bills. And I did that by showing off my kit and making cards together with some friends (and their friends and so on). After I attended my first Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference, I realized that I could TEACH others how to create their own crafting business too and I started to build a team of demonstrators. I now count many of those team members among my best FRIENDS. After all, we love the same kinds of things, and when we get together, it is always a party! I’d love to teach you what I’ve learned.
I feel so lucky that I got this chance to not only lead a creative life, but also to make an income. With some firm plans and goals on what I wanted from the business, I was able to transition from my librarian job, to a working full-time as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. And that allowed me to be home for my kids when they were little. When, I earned my first Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip to the Mexican Rivera in 2005– wow–I knew I had found a GREAT way to do what I love!! Since that first cruise, I’ve been on a number of amazing trips with Stampin’ Up! Every demonstrator will have a different experience, different earnings, and different level of commitment to the business.
• The statements above represent my individual accomplishment, and do not reflect the typical Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. This accomplishment required a lot of hard work and effort on my part and less than 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators achieve this.
This picture was taken on a Stampin Up! trip to Alaska in with my family.
My kids are now (mostly) grown-up and don’t need me home like they did when they are little, but I love the freedom I get working for myself. I get to be home with my furry beasts!
And I LOVE helping others on my team succeed. See what my team says about being a “Junkie” here.
Let’s chat and see if we can find a way to fit Stampin’ Up! into your busy life. I’ve been a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator since May 2003 and I’m been smiling ever since!
