Tree Angle Christmas Card

tree angle stampin' up stamp set

Today’s I’m showing you a fun card using the Tree Angle stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalogue.  This is a fun and different type of stamp set where you build your tree using the triangles pieces in the stamp set.  It also coordinates with the Stitched Triangle Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

I got this card in a demonstrator card swap (one of the many fun and business building things that we demonstrators do) from Zahra Premji.  I love how Zahara used bright, non traditional Christmas colours for this card.  The Stampin’ Up! colours are: Coastal Cabana, Magenta Madness and Daffodil Delight.  You can see the fill list of supplies used on this card below.

I love the little greeting element on this card.  Often it is just the little things that take a card design up a notch. If you are wondering how the greeting element was created, here’s how.

  1.  Stamp the saying with Whisper White ink onto a 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Designer Series Paper.  This piece of wood grain paper is from the In Good Taste DSP which is full of great textured pieces.
  2. Sprinkle White Embossing on top and heat with the Heat Tool.
  3. Punch out either end with the Banners Pick a Punch.
  4. Bundle approximately 8″ of twine into two loops and attach to the back of the saying with dimensionals and then attach to the front of the card.

One final piece of love I’ll give to the Tree Angle stamp set is that it has 6 different greetings in the stamp set.   It’s a great little stamp set if you are looking for a stamp set for next year’s Christmas cards and you can pick it up now on sale!
