Peace & Joy Christmas Tag Card

Peace & Joy Stamping UpWhen I saw the Peace & Joy stamp set in the catalogue, I knew I wanted to play with it!  Mostly because I like the trend of using large-sized words for the focal point on a card rather than an image (as a nice change from time to time). But also because the stamp set has the words Peace, Joy and Bright and several layers of each word that work together.  You can die-cut each of the three layers like I’ve done on this card and nest them together.  Or you can stamp the words, from the Peace & Joy stamp set and die cut those out alone. Or you can add the matching border.  There are so many ways to use the dies and stamps.

Peace & Joy Stamping Up

In the Peace & Joy stamp set, there are some fun greenery and accessory pieces to bring large words to live.  And also there are some sweet little saying that can be stamped on the paper directly (like I did on my tag) or cut out the sayings and pop them up with dimensionals.  You can see all the materials I used on this card at the end of this post.

Be sure to check out my Facebook Live tomorrow where I will use this stamp set to make a card.  Just got to my Facebook page HERE and like it be sure to get notified of when I go LIVE.

For this Christmas card, I thought the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper with all the little people congregating, was the perfect fit with my saying “Sending Christmas Joy to You and Yours”.  You can see another card made with the Trimming the Town DSP on my blog here.  I used the colours from this paper as the colour scheme for this card: Pool Party, Poppy Parade, and Misty Moonlight.

Peace & Joy Stamping Up

You might be wondering where the tag came from on this card.  I used the Joy Dies to cut this tag. I’m loving this tag shape, and I would have got the Joy Dies just for that shape!!

Just one final tip for this card.  When I added the final die for the “Joy” word, I first put some of the adhesive sheets on the back of my piece of Poppy Parade cardstock.  When I cut out the die on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, then it ends up like a sticker on the back and it is super easy to attach to the front of the card. The other layers were big enough that I just used my Seal Adhesive to attach them.
