Thanks a Bunch Sunflowers

sunflower front

The  Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle was one bundle  I really wanted from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue.  There are some lovely images of sunflowers that you can stamp.  And then the dies will cut out the stamped images, plus a few extra dies.

However, on this card, I just used the dies to create the flower.  I used the new Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Sheets to attach the outline die cuts to the solid die cuts.  These adhesive sheets are a must-have for any thin die cuts. It is so much easier than having to add adhesive to thin strips of paper.

To use the adhesive sheets, attach the cardstock to the adhesive sheet. For example for the leaves, I attached the darker Garden Green cardstock to the adhesive sheet.  Then use your die cutting machine and the dies to cut out the top layer.  Then peel off the adhesive sheet (this makes your cardstock like a sticker) and stick the top leaf layer to the bottom leaf die cut.

The front of the card is from the new In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. It has lovely wood, fabric, and tile patterns.  I’ll have another card tomorrow on my blog using this gorgeous paper.

in good taste dspFor the centre of the flower, I first cut one flower out of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then trimmed it so it was just the smaller centre piece.  I then sponged it, with Sponge Daubers, and a little bit of Early Espresso ink.  The very centre of the flower is a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and a die-cut too.  I used dimensionals to pop up the middle of the flower.
