Beautifully Braided In Peacock
I want to share with you one of my favourite cards that I’ve made recently featuring the Beautifully Braided stamp set. And sadly this stamp set is on the retiring list. That means that by June, this stamp set will no longer be available to order (or sooner if it sells out sooner). See the retiring list here.
The stamp set features this lovely flower image, some border images as well as some great sayings in a fresh font. There is also a fun shaded image that you can use to “colour” the flower by overlaying the flowers with this “smudge”. I choose instead to colour in the flowers using my Blends Markers. See more about Blends Markers here. The colours I used to colour in the flowers were Pretty Peacock and Old Olive. I also used the Smoky Slate Blends marker to do an outline around the image when I was finished to help make it pop.
I’ve also used the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper on this card and it is also on the retiring list! And whoohoo, it is on sale too. It is only $6.30 (down from $15.75), but only while supplies last. You can see the full supplies list at the end of this post including a link to see the Woven Threads paper in my Online Store.
If you have loved the 2019-2021 In Colors, then you might want to check out this coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP). It features the Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Pretty Peacock colours. The piece of Designer Series Paper that I used on my card is Pretty Peacock. I used just a small strip of the DSP on the right side of the card. And I also added a very small strip of Silver Foil paper to incorporate the Smoky Slate of the card base and the shine from my Sequins.
I got my colour combination: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock and Smoky Slate/Silver from a card given to me by one of my clients. I loved this combination so much that I’ve been using it on several cards. Be sure to check out my post tomorrow at www.StampwithJenn.com to see another card using this colour combination. See all the products I used on my Beautifully Braided card below.
