Vibrant Vases and Vases Builder Punch

I love it when Stampin’ Up! makes dies and punches that match multiple stamp sets.  Did you know that the Vases Builder Punch matches two stamp sets?  The first one is the the Varied Vases (show first below) in the current annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. And the other one is the new Vibrant Vases in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue.  You can see all three products below.  In fact, you can get the Varied Vases stamp set and the Vases Builder Punch together as a bundle.

The Vase Builder punch will punch out all of the vases in BOTH stamp sets and the curved leaves.  And in the first stamp set, Varied Vases, the punch also punches out the little tulip flower.

Today’s card idea is stamped with the second stamp set, Vibrant Vases.  What I love about this stamp set is that it is a 2-step stamping set. That means that you use two stamps to get a more detailed stamped image. And this is a quick and easy way to step it up!

I got this card from the lovely Kristine Burns from Edmonton, AB.  Kristine, stamped the vase image with with Pool Party ink and then stamped the pattern on the vase on the vase again with Pool Party ink. It is super quick and easy with photopolymer stamp sets to line this up.  There is an outline image for the flowers and then you can stamp over the outline with the “coloured” part of the matching stamp.  On this card, Kristine, actually coloured the flowers with the Blends Alcohol Markers (see more details here on Blends).  See the full supply list for this card see the end of the post.

The other part of love of this card is the peek thru window!  It is made with die cutting a Rectangle Stitched Framelit in the front of the card.  Other details on this card include the sponged inside of the card.  Kristine told me that she used this hand made template (just hand cut) to sponge Pool Party ink all over the background of the card to make the cloud background. How fun!

Finally, the last thing that I love about Kristine’s is the fun use of the Cake Builder Punch as a little table that the vase is sitting on.  See the list at the end of the post to access any of the products for this card in my Online Store.

Please check back to www.StampwithJenn.com next week for another card, using the Varied Vases stamp set and the Vases Builder Punch.
